Research and policy analysis undertaken by King Zollinger in 2005 led to the submission of a parliamentary request for the Swiss Government to increase the priority afforded in Swiss development policy and programming to children and youth in general and those affected by HIV/AIDS in particular, especially in Africa. Subsequently, the Swiss Federal Council committed itself to preparing an in-depth report on the role of children and youth in Swiss development policy and further scope for action.
