In 2006, SDC asked King Zollinger to conceptualize and draft a Swiss strategy for partnering with UNDP, UNICEF, UNFPA and UNIFEM. Anchored in the MDGs, the wider discussion on aid effectiveness and the ongoing UN reforms, such an institutional strategy is expected to provide guidance to Swiss Government representatives dealing with the respective organizations, thereby ensuring focus, coherence and transparency in Swiss multilateral development.
